It is Spring time again, and therefore time for the annual "Giornate FAI di Primavera" ( FAI Spring Days) event!

We published an article about this same event last year. Approximately a half-million Italians participated in the event last year! Here is a link to the article: http://www.madeinitalymall.com/blog/fai-spring-days-event-draws-big-crowd-in-italy/

Here is the link to an article in English about the event for 2014: (http://www.secretitaly.it/the-fai-days-discovering-secret-italy-for-one-day/)

Text of the article: There is a special Italian event that takes place every year called the FAI Spring days. FAI (Fondo Ambientale Italiano) is a private organization that highlights and protects the Italian monuments that are abandoned or ruined, restoring them and opening them once a year to the public to share the beauty of these places and to spread the word about some of these secluded, relatively unknown, and beautiful places in Italy. This year the event will take place on Saturday, the 22nd and Sunday, the 23rd of March, 2014.

For those that read Italian, there is more information on the FAI site dedicated to this event: http://www.giornatefai.it/

There is also a good writeup about the event in this article published by IlSole24Ore: http://www.ilsole24ore.com/art/notizie/2014-03-11/il-fai-svela-pubblico-750-monumenti-150458.shtml

Ci sentiamo presto, Lina
