Being an Italian living abroad with a strong and vibrant connection to Italy is like being a celebrity that everyone loves to talk to about Italy. Moreover, many people expect to hear about the" unveiled" Italian tours in the beautiful locations people talk about, but very few are able to really enjoy. These places are known for their charm but experiencing it first-hand on a tour is elusive. This is the case of Naples and the Costiera Amalfitana.

Everybody has surely heard at least once some of the classic, yet beautiful and romantic songs from Naples like "O sole mio". They are played throughout the world as well as at the Venetian Casinò in Las Vegas, which is not a good association between Venezia-Napoli for any Italian. But, it works abroad 😉 Naples and the Costiera Amalfitana can make everyone’s vacation dream come true….if she/he knows how to manage it. As an Italian coming from that area, I can confirm that it’s not easy at all.

At one of these great Californian parties, a dear friend of mine here in Los Angeles asked for a very particular travel tour in this "romantic area". He highlighted this idea while gazing into the eyes of his beloved. Since at Madeinitalymall we are currently preparing some very special tour programs for this area of Italy, I thought I would help him plan his romantic getaway by connecting him directly to our Personal Travel Tour Manager in Naples, who speaks good English. Unfortunately the wonderful messages exchanged among them turned out to be a nightmare for my friend. He wrote me back the following note: " Dear Matteo, all the below proposed tours are “Greek” to me (-: pun intended). I don’t know anything about the region, etc. I was hoping that you…..".

I had to agree with my friend. If you do not have anyone who introduces you to the area from the perspective of taking a vacation there, then even the BEST Personal Travel Agent may fail to fulfill your desire to plan your dream vacation.

Therefore, I’ve decided to work harder on this Personal Travel Tour idea in order to more easily guide people in their travels to the area, so that they can have a more discerned vacation experience in Italy, something to enjoy for every minute in Italy during the whole precious time spent there, rather than simply becoming hostages of an over-zealous tour group leader who chains everyone to the tour schedule with their herding techniques such as little flags (sometimes they use an umbrella too!). My idea is that we will transfer our knowledge about Italy, and somehow convey this ability to discern how to enjoy Italy to everyone who reads our blog through simple, educational, and occasionally funny articles. Everyone will browse through them, select the one they particularly have dreamed about, and get support (mostly free) to prepare for the trip. This is what Madeinitalymall is working on: helping everyone to enjoy life more fully. Thanks to Madeinitalymall you can picture yourself right now in front of this delicious pastries window, just like the nice lady who took this picture out of her desire to secure the everlasting taste of joy and a love of life that she particularly feels here in Amalfi.

Enjoy your day with a little break of Italian Dolce Vita.
