I wish I could go to Milan to see this latest exhibition of Irene Kung’s work. I would love to stare at the photos of the trees she has so magically captured in the images she is presenting.

Here is an excerpt of the press release I adapted to English:

Irene Kung possesses a rare talent: her eye develops an empathic relationship with the subject being photographed, whatever that may be.

We know her best for her photos of cities, characterized by dreamlike and mysterious images, but on the occasion of this exhibition at the Forma Galleria, we will witness another aspect of her poetry … The relationship with nature and especially with the trees.

Amongst the primary shots within the exhibition are the olive tree portraits in all their power and majesty, unique visions that clamor for recognition almost unexpectedly, boldly standing out on a completely black background. The exhibition will showcase some unpublished shots that portray the last stages of the journey through the forest of the soul of Irene Kung.

Exhibition Information:

The forest of the soul of Irene Kung from November 29, 2013 to January 12, 2014 at the Forma Galleria, Piazza Tito Lucrezio Caro, 1 in Milan (free entrance)
