Confederations Cup: Italy beat Japan 4:3

June 19th was an incredible evening in Recife. Japan played with a lot of heart, but ultimately Italy secured their place in the FIFA Confederations Cup semi-finals with a 4-3 victory. The Italians rebounded from being two goals down to lead 3-2 before Japan tied the game. Then, Italian substitute Sebastian Giovinco scored the winning goal for Italy.

Goals for Italy were scored by Daniele de Rossi ( 41′ ), Mario Balotelli (52′ penalty), and Sebastian Giovinco ( 86′). Those goals, coupled with an own goal by Japan brought the total to four goals for Italy.
