This year the Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2013 is being held once again at the Milan Fairgrounds in Rho from the 9th to the 14th of April. As I had mentioned in my previous article about the show last year, I was very fortunate to have been able to attend this show a few years ago. No doubt every year brings a new surprise, and certainly always an amazing array of Italian design.

The Salone made its first appearance in 1961, designed to promote Italian furniture and furnishing accessories on the export market, and it has certainly continued to do so impeccably, ensuring that the quality of Italian furniture is known worldwide, with about half of all its current visitors coming from outside Italy. According to the sponsors, the 2012 edition was attended by 292,370 trade operators, 188,579 of whom came from foreign Countries; 39,279 members of the general public and 6,484 communication operators.
